Guys, I'm making a friend at camp.  An adult friend.  I'm very proud of myself.

I'm taking it very slow, we haven't hung out outside of work yet, but we're dressing up like twins tomorrow, and sometimes we text each other... about work stuff.

I know it sounds dumb as hell, but it's like I have a friend-crush on her, and I want to ramp up to friend-dating her (you know: hanging out and getting to know her), but I don't want to scare her off.  If you don't know, I am clingy as fuck and she said when she met that "she values her independence".  Luckily, when you're not planning on having sex with someone, it's pretty easy to give people space.

She's studying to be a teacher at the college near my house (and I know from carpooling that her house is a short bus/bike ride or ambitious walk from mine).  She also works with the K/1st grade set and is easily the only person at camp as stupid and goofy as I am.  I don't think she's 21 yet... but I could get over that because she's easy to talk to.  I wish she had Facebook, because then I'd friend-flirt with her.

People keep asking us if we go to school together, or if we've worked at camp together before.  "No, we just bonded during the carpool to orientation."  Which is true.  For whatever reason, we got in the car and started talking fast.  Click.
